6:30 PM - Welcome & introductions by Kevin Vanderbeken
6:45 PM - Talks beginβ¦
ποΈ CampJS is on again - Glen Arrowsmith (@garrows) - 5min
Glen will give us a lightning talk on CampJS which is on again after the covid hiatus - it's a 3-night code retreat for anyone who is interested in web technology.
ππ What is Customer Experience (CX) and why it should be part of every team member's skillsets - Dallas Clark (@dallasclark) - 35-40min
Throughout this talk, Dallas will cover non-technical and technical scenarios that may have been solved properly if someone simply focused and understood what customer experience was.
The session is interactive and uses everyday products and services to explain each concept and how some easy, yet very clever solutions have solved some minor to major issues.
Clue: most solutions are not technical solutions.
After the session, every attendee should be able to identify areas of improvement that impacts the customer's experience.
β± Networking during intermission - 30min
πΊπΊ Surfing Midi Streams: Riding the websockets synthwave - Julian Scharf (GH: julzelements) - 40min
Julz has been teaching synth classes in various guises for a couple of years, with his chosen education model synth - the Korg Monologue. Now it comes with a realtime classroom! He's built a platform that integrates with the hardware of the synthesizer and guides you through the journey of sound design. In this talk we explore websockets, Midi, and realtime event streams. Get ready to play with 6 (yes, 6!) synthesizers in the audience simultaneously! (once we figure out where to fit them on the night haha)
β± Goodnight!
