πŸ₯ Let's Build Suspense - Julian Burr (@jburr90) - 25-30min
As the momentum of web development swings back towards the server, streaming is becoming increasingly popular. Specifically, out-of-order streaming with features like React Suspense β€” one of the magical powers behind Server Components.
Let's build our very own (simplified) version to explore how it works, what problems we are trying to solve, and what this future of web development looks like.

⏱ Intermission - Networking / Food ~7:15pm - 30min

🧊 3D Web with Three.js & GLSL Shaders - Marco Braccini (0xbrax.dev) - 20-25min
Discover how to bring immersive 3D experiences to the web with Three.js and GLSL Shaders. Using Marco's interactive portfolio as a case study, we will explore the creation of a "tiny planet" inhabited by an animated robot that walks across a dynamically generated world.
We will dive into the technical tricks and optimisations behind this experience, including advanced performance hacks like GPGPU for real-time terrain tracking, where the robot adjusts its height over hills, mountains, and even underwater.
Marco will demonstrate the use of custom shaders for dynamic world generation and explain key benefits of GLSL. He'll also show creative solutions to handle orbiting animations, focusing on high frame rates and seamless animation.

⏱ Closing - Safe trip home folks!

Don't forget about the end of year celebration event with our partner Techmas! Grab a ticket and see you Thurs Dec 5.
