ā“ Questions/voting and feedback will be gathered using Slido for Q&A:

I can't overstate enough how grateful I am for those in our wonderful community who get their thinking caps on and contribute a talk of any length to our monthly events. And we need you for the upcoming meetups too! Your talks keep BrisJS alive!

---------------

🧩 Make your own React/Vue-style framework using Web Components - Adam A - 30m
Adam will introduce Web Components and when they can be practically useful for your applications.
We then move on to the fun part, a simplified guide on implementing a complete, declarative UI framework (similar to React or Vue) using Web Component APIs and from first principles. This talk will shed some light on how many JS frameworks work behind the scenes and cover many interesting and lesser known JS APIs in the process.

🧩 Turning your current static portfolio into a blogging website with Gatsby - Jordan Nash - 30m
Jordan will be taking us through a Gatsby refresh and leveraging some of the resources from famous Youtuber, Joshua Fluke in the process of identifying the differences between regular HTML and JSX. This will take us through the process for transforming the site so we can use React-based frameworks like Gatsby on our site. Jordan will explain some of the pitfalls of conversion, and how we can avoid them, while making use of Transform.io to make the migration easier.

Lots of opportunities for Q&A through Slido too! Get your thinking caps on and see you on the night!
