Where am I now? What should my life be about? How should I best use my time? How should I be with others?

It is not always easy to answer such questions in the busyness and uncertainty of everyday life. That is why, in these classes, we'll take time to reflect on the qualities of this human life, the reality of death, what the nature of experience is and how we use our actions to dynamically create present and future happiness. The content doesn't require any prior knowledge and is shared so you can question it and explore it for yourself.

Session format
Each week we start with 15 - 20 minutes of meditation to settle the mind (instructions given) followed by a 15 minute talk and reflective meditation. There is also time to continue any discussions over coffee from 11.30am.

Course instructors
There are four instructors for this course: Adrian, Ed, Emma and Rachel and you can read more about us here.

Course text and attendance
Whilst this is a course, you're welcome to attend to any sessions you can make. You may find a notebook handy to remember key points. You don't need to bring any cushions, everything is provided. Chairs are provided too if that is more comfortable for you.

Donations
There is no charge for these sessions but we welcome donations, which help us to maintain the Sakya Buddhist Centre and its activities. You can donate here or at the Centre.

If you'd like to take a look at some helpful content before or after the class, you'll find lots of resources here.

We look forward to seeing you - comment or message me with any queries - thanks!
