New course (with lunch): Buddhist reflections on life, death, between and beyond

Details

On Saturday 10 May, we start a brand new series of meditations and reflections on birth, life, death and beyond.

For this first event, you're welcome to stay after the session for a bring and share lunch from about 12 to meet the instructors and get to know other attendees, or just attend the event as you prefer.

For this series, we'll be sharing key points from a book by Lama Jampa Thaye called 'Tasting Birth and Death' - read more about the book here. The reflections are common to all Buddhist traditions and bring us face to face with both the reality and opportunity that our life offers.

Session format
Each week we'll start with some meditation to settle the mind (instructions given) followed by some content and reflection. There is also time for conversation and coffee from 11.30am.

Course instructors
There are four instructors for this course: Adrian, Ed, Emma and Rachel and you can read more about us here.

Course text and attendance
Copies of the course text are available at the Centre but there's no need to have one (unless you wish to!), just come along. Whilst this is a course, you're welcome to attend to any sessions you can make.

Donations
There is no charge for these sessions but we welcome donations, which help us to maintain the Sakya Buddhist Centre and its activities. You can donate here or at the Centre.

If you'd like to take a look at some helpful content, you'll find lots of resources here.

We look forward to seeing you.
