Let’s venture out to Wilding Orchard just north of Chew Magna.
Wilding barely need an introduction. They’re surely one of the world’s most talented, influential, and impressive cidermakers, known for producing flawless ciders through a totally natural process.
What to expect:
This is not a tasting
Wilding sell a wide range of ciders, perries, and spirits from their barn. These can be drunk onsite or taken away.
Bring a bag for any ciders you want to buy as well as a picnic so we can enjoy lunch together among the trees and tall grass.
Logistics:
There is no direct public transport to the orchard or to Chew Magna.
I’ll be leading a 1.5h ~7.5km hike from Pensford to the orchard. If you’re a keen walker in good health, please do join. It’s mainly flat with a slight climb at the end.
You’re also very welcome to make your own way there via taxi or car.
We will be sharing taxis back to Bristol at the end of the day.
