About us
CoFi is an emerging field and community of practice exploring how communities can create, run, and govern their own financial systems, services, currencies, and instruments – collaboratively, and for themselves.
This group is for everybody curious to learn about CoFi and/or has some knowledge to share.
For the first few months, the plan is to work through some course material and exercises, including the following topics:
- What is finance? (with some history)
- What is the role of the state?
- Why are capitalism and finance not working as advertised?
- Non-financial approaches to collective wealth building, including commons
- Mechanisms and history of P2P finance
The meetups will also be an opportunity to exchange experiences and interesting resources.
