About us

Welcome to the Bristol Excel Meetup Group!

This group is for anyone based in the South West who is interested in learning about Excel, AI, reporting, and financial modelling. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced user, this group offers opportunities to network, share tips and tricks, and attend live events.

We meet once a quarter in Bristol for a live event and chance to catch up over a drink, or two.

We also meet virtually between the quarterly in-person sessions.

Come join us to collaborate, learn, and improve your Excel skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

We have a separate community hub in addition to the group here on Meetup that brings together community chat, articles, events and free training resources. It should be a great place for us all to connect, chat and share information and ideas.

You can create an account and access the free community hub via this link.

Let's explore the power of Excel together!

Many Excel users focus on writing better prompts for Copilot.

But the more interesting question is: How do we stop repeating the same instructions over and over again?

In this session we will explore 3 ways of providing context to Copilot in Excel:

    • Personalisation
    • Skills
    • Workbook Rules

This isn't just about saving time. It's about creating outputs that are more consistent, governed and aligned with the way our teams actually work.

This session explores how to create robust Excel-based automation processes using the Automation Toolkit framework. We'll cover how to break solutions into reusable components and build automations that are easy to maintain. Plus, we will see how to accelerate development with Copilot.

    About the Speaker:
