Our inaugural session - The changing world of Excel

Following a brief introduction for our inaugural session by Kate Clarke, Myles Arnott will share his thoughts on the new world of Excel.

Free tea and coffee will be available from 7pm so that we can have a good opportunity to get to know each other after the presentation.

The Changing World of Excel
Microsoft has been releasing new functionality into Excel over the last few years with Microsoft looking to move Excel user's reliance on the "grid" to tables and array based working.

Myles will talk us through the journey from grid-based modelling, through Excel Tables, the Data Cube & Power Pivot, PowerQuery, the dynamic array engine and Python for Excel.

About the speakers
Kate is the founder of Artemis Clarke a leading financial recruiter for senior finance roles in growing businesses. A chartered accountant by training, she still enjoys working with spreadsheets and is passionate about efficiency, seeing Excel as a key tool for accountants.

Myles is the co-founder of Full Stack Modeller, which provides Excel training for finance professionals through their award-winning training programme. He is also a Fractional Finance Director for three local companies and a CIMA accountant. He has been training in Excel for over 15 years.
