Is a fairer tax system a humanist issue? Tax Justice UK believes that a more just/progressive system will be more sustainable. TJUK wants:

• cultural change, with the public supporting higher levels of public spending, in part supported through more progressive taxes.
• It wants greater fairness with a more progressive tax system in which those with greater wealth, and big companies, pay a larger proportion of tax.
• It also wants to see the tax system reformed so that individuals and companies can’t avoid paying their taxes.

Oscar Webb, Campaigns & Communication Manager at TaxjusticeUK will present the arguments for greater fairness and efficiency in the tax system. Expect a lively debate!!
