The evolution of the mindful shopper

Details
In a recent survey by Adobe, nearly 60% of UK shoppers said they would switch to brands that better represent the values they hold dear. A huge 87% said that their values play a greater role in how and where they choose to spend their money. In line with their values, 40% of shoppers are actively seeking out sustainable, environmentally responsible brands.
In this meetup we will ask our panel, what does a good brand look like in this area? And how can businesses build strategies, that will see them move in the direction of being more socially and environmentally responsible? We'll also explore how customers can be sure that the claims of an online retailer aren’t just greenwashing and how retailers can ensure that their products meet the criteria of the standard they set for themselves along the entire value and supply chains.
Please do join us and our sponsor Sendcloud for a fascinating meetup at the Engine Shed on the 26th May in Bristol for this panel discussion. We have the pleasure of announcing our panellists, please welcome:
- Gordon Bazeley: founder of ModusVert. Gordon worked in eCommerce product management for fourteen years and now helps merchants take smarter steps to a smaller footprint by considering ways to become more sustainable in all aspects of their operations.
- Andy Hawkins: founder of Business on Purpose. Andy spent 5 years doing community development in Africa and a further 5 years in environmental services. These experiences are now helping his clients assess and improve their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) utilising the B Corp process and B Impact Assessment.
- James Ewens: head of eCommerce at Furniture Box. James leads the Bristol based eCommerce and operations team at the fastest growing eCommerce business in the South West.
Here’s a loose timeline for the evening:
