What we’re about
This is a peer-to-peer support group for adults whose developmental needs were not met when they were children. As a consequence of their dysfunctional upbringing they lack basic life skills as adults. The goal of this group is to support each other to raise our awareness of our maladaptive strategies as well as learn how to advocate for ourselves better.
This is a weekly one-hour session at The Den (meeting room) in Hamilton House in Stokes Croft.
I would like to recruit 7 people who are committed to healing their lives, their soul, their mind, their body & nerveous system and would like to participate in a peer-to-peer support group for a 3-months period.
I will be in charge of the recruitment process and prepare the structure of the first session but my long-term goal is to rotate the facilitation amongst us and to establish the direction and the pace at which we are going together.
If you are interested in joining, get in touch and we will arrange a meeting.
Questions to think about:
- How do you think you would benefit from a weekly peer-to-peer support group for adult children?
- Where are you on your healing journey? (Any awareness that you have gained about your relation to yourself, to others, to life, to reality due to traumatic experiences.)
- Which books/authors and/or YouTube channels have helped you gaining some clarity or a sense of direction in your life?
Please feel free to prepare your questions for me too.
I am looking to recruit seven people who may be in pain, may feel lost, may feel ashamed but haven't given up on themselves and want to take responsibility for their lives as much as they can.
