A Real Pain was voted favourite film of 2025 by members of this group last month.
So, if you're free this afternoon, why not come along to see it either the first time, or for a second time if you've already enjoyed it once.
'Mismatched cousins David (Jesse Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin) reunite for a tour through Poland to honour their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd-couple's old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.' - summary from Foccal website.*
Admission is free and free biscuits, tea, and coffee are available, but small cash donations towards future events are always welcome - there’s a donations box on the hot drinks table.
Car parking is difficult during the day. Maybe check bus options on the TravelWest website. If you’re cycling, there are bicycle stands in the courtyard in front of the library.
Doors open at 1.30 pm and the film starts promptly at 2.00 pm.
Meet by the Meetup sign on top of the bookshelf just beyond the hot drinks table. I'll get there early to reserve seats for us.
After the film ends, (at 4.00 pm), maybe join us for a chat about the film in the Somerset House pub next door.
*Foccal is a group of volunteers who organise excellent free and paid for events to help keep Clifton Library open - forthcoming events are listed on the Foccal website: https://public.foccal.com/eventlist
