What we’re about

Welcome to the Bristol Single Parents Meetup Group.

This is a not-for-profit social group run by single parents for single parents however Meetup charges to host this group so there is a £4.00 annual membership fee which you can pay after coming to your first event.

The organisers host a broad range of meetups throughout the year for single parents with children of all ages, and we also actively encourage any member to suggest and host events. We try to include meetups that cater to a wide range of tastes and budgets, with most in the Bristol area and some further afield. Meetups in the last year have included wellie walks in Leigh Woods, ball games on The Downs, Puxton Park, Wild Place, Clearwell Caves, riverside walks, bodyboarding, and camping trips. We appreciate that for many single parents childcare can be difficult, but for those who are able we also put up childfree meetups in the evening.

The group considers ‘single parents’ to be those who are no longer in a relationship with the other parent of their child, for whatever reason. They do not have to be ‘single’ and they do not have to be the primary caregiver.

This is a closed group and we reserve the right to approve all new members, so please add a full description of why you are interested in joining the group and a recent profile picture.

Although we host childfree events we do encourage people to join who are interested in attending events with their children, rather than just the childfree events, as that is the main focus of the group.
