Welcome to the third Solo Sisters Event!

The Solo Sisters events are a relaxed space for women of all ages and backgrounds to connect in the local area. This group is a dedicated space for single women who are looking to build friendship or simply get to know others. We know that life can sometimes feel a bit quiet, and finding a genuine network isn't always easy.

Valentine’s Day can be a loud reminder of missing connection, regardless of your living situation. I wanted to create a space for us to opt-out of the traditional expectations and have a social afternoon with good company instead.

This event is for you if:

  • You live alone and want to swap a quiet night in for a warm afternoon out.
  • You live with others (friends, family, or housemates) who are out on dates, leaving you feeling a bit like the odd one out in your own home.
  • You’re happily single but still find the holiday's over-the-top focus on romance a bit isolating.

Whatever your situation, don't spend the day feeling on the outside looking in. Come join a group of women who are choosing to celebrate friendship and community instead.

About the organiser:
Hi, I'm Beth, I'm 29 years old and created an event for local women to connect. I've lived in Bristol for a few years and had a few close friends but unfortunately they have moved away. Many of my local connections are currently in relationships so I started making friends intentionally which brought me to creating this group!

Previous events:
Our first two meetups were a wonderful success, bringing together a lovely mix of women aged from their 20s to their 60s. We intentionally limit our events to 10 people at the moment to keep things intimate and meaningful. It’s a relaxed space where we’ve shared hobbies, discovered common interests, and found comfort in talking through the feelings and situations we all navigate.
