First meet of Bristol Stoicism Group

Details
I'm hoping we can introduce ourselves and share what we might each like to get out of future co-operation through this stoicism group and see if anyone would like to contribute (for example, maybe by sharing a short presentation)
I think we can probably fit about 10-12 people in my office if I get some stacking chairs and line them up in rows or around the edge of the room. One end of the room has a good surface to project on, and I have one that I will bring.
To get us started, once enough people have had a chance to arrive, I could introduce stoicism by sharing some material that I've received from the Stoic Fellowship. It includes some ideas for meetings and formats from other stoic groups.
Then we could use the "lean coffee" format for "structured, but agenda-less meeting" to work out what to talk about. If you've not come across this before, you can read a quick introduction at http://leancoffee.org/
Anyone who can't join this in person meet should be included in decision making about when, where, and how we hold future meetings. So we may want to consider how we will enable that collaboration, because I'm not sure if meetup.com (while good for publishing events) is suitable. A tool I'm familiar with for this is www.loomio.com which I would be happy to setup for us to use after this meeting if there is enough interest.
We might not run the whole 2 hours, but afterwards there are a number of good places nearby to enjoy a drink (alcoholic or not) and/or some food and get to know each other more. So though I will make sure I stick around for the full two hours, where we are might change 👍
