Bath to Frome Loop Via Colliers Way (69km)

Details
This ride starts in Bath from the River path and takes the Two Tunnels route through the Midford valley towards Radstock, where it picks up the Colliers Way path to Frome. From there the route follows country lanes back to Bath via Bradford on Avon. The ride is a mix of shared paths and quiet lanes with some stretches on road.
Total distance is approximately 69km (43 miles) with elevation of 800m (2,600 ft). There are hills but nothing too severe. The pace will be fairly casual.
Meeting point is on the river path next to the Bath School of Arts building. I'll be on a black and red Btwin bike with a red bag. We'll set off at 10:30am, please arrive in good time.
The plan is to stop for a pub lunch in Frome.

If you plan to arrive by train, Bath Spa station is about 1.5 miles along the river path - see attached picture. Head west (left) outside the station past the bus station towards the river and pick up the path there, continuing west.
If you manage to get a local train, you can get off at Oldfield Park station. Just head down West Avenue/Lyndhurst Road and either wait for us by the bridge where the road meets the cycle path, or cross the river past Lidl to the main meeting point. See the highlighted locations on the attached picture.
If you are driving, there are unmetered residential roads near to the meeting point, such as Brassmill Lane. Leave enough time to find a space.
Please respect that we ride in a group and the ride leader has to make decisions on behalf of the group, which should be followed.
The ride leader will stop for catch-ups, at junctions and hills. Please avoid overtaking the leader as this can lead to people getting lost.
Your bike should be recently ridden and in good order. You should bring a spare inner tube for your bike. This is to avoid holding up the rest of the group. There is likely to be someone on the ride who can help mend a puncture, although this is not guaranteed.
