Chipping Sodbury, Mangotsfield start, 15 miles there and back
Details
Meet 10.45 at Mangotsfield Station on the Bristol and Bath cycle track. I'll be on the raised section
Short there and back cycle to Chipping Sodbury.
There are quite a few café options. Waitrose is probable the biggest with space for more bikes, there is also Coffee #1 with outdoor seating at the back. If your DIY there is seating on the Highstreet.
Waitrose is behind the Highstreet, through the cut through past Coffee #1.
The route is mainly traffic free and quiet roads. Short section on a road typically busy, Westerleigh Road. We typically split into groups of 4 bikes to rides this 300m section, right turn at the end. We do the same road on the return.
There is also a short section on a dual carriage, in a segregated cycle path not adjacent to the carriage way.
Aim to spend 45-60 minutes there. For the return meet at the Tourist Information Centre on the Highstreet

Please respect we ride in a group and the ride leader has to make
decisions on behalf of the group, these need to be followed.
The ride leader will stop for catch-ups, at junctions and hills. Please do not overtake the ride leader this is how most rides have ended up with riders being lost, causing the whole group to be inconvenienced.
You must be confident in your fitness level for the whole ride. If you are in any doubt please do not attend. You must be capable of riding for 90 minutes non stop and completed this recently. We do not ride fast and do stop at the top of hills but we do require a certain level of fitness.
Your bike needs to be recently ridden and in good order. You should bring a spare inner tube for your bike. This is to avoid holding up the rest of the group. There is likely to be someone on the ride who can help mend a puncture, although this is not guaranteed. Have a plan is you or your bike cannot be fixed following an incident.
