Clevedon Marine Lake
Details
This ride heads out along the river path towards Pill. It's a little rough and gravelly in places so slick tyres may struggle. We will then pick up the back lanes towards Clevedon.
The starting point is Nova Scotia Place by the benches. I'll be on a black and red Btwin bike with a red bag. We'll set off at 10:15am, please arrive in good time and ready to ride.
It's a fairly flat ride apart from a short climb into Clevedon.
We will stop near the marine lake for a lunch break. There is a pub just next to the lake as well as a few cafes along the front.
Those wishing to do so can take a dip in the lake. I've checked the recent water report and its quality has been deemed excellent. It's also a nice temperature after the recent warm weather.
The round trip will be around 51km/32m. Total climbing is 300m/1000ft.

The warm weather is set to continue into the weekend although a little cooler than it has been.
Please respect we ride in a group and the ride leader has to make decisions on behalf of the group, these need to be followed.
The ride leader will stop for catch-ups, at junctions and hills. Please do not overtake the leader this can lead to people getting lost.
Your bike needs to be recently ridden and in good order. You should bring a spare inner tube for your bike. This is to avoid holding up the rest of the group. There is likely to be someone on the ride who can help mend a puncture, although this is not guaranteed.
