Barley Wood Cider Barn
Details
For this ride we'll visit Barley Wood Cider Barn in the Walled Garden in Wrington, where we can sample some ciders (or apple juice) surrounded by the apple orchards.
The starting point is Nova Scotia Place by the benches. I'll be on a black and red Btwin bike with a red bag. We'll set off at 10:30am, please arrive in good time and ready to ride.
There is a bit of climbing out towards Chew Valley and again as we pass through Butcombe on the way to Wrington. The return along the Festival Way is mostly flat.
They are advertising pizza at the Cider Barn, which I am hoping will do for lunch. I am trying to get confirmation of the times they are serving.
The round trip will be around 60km/37m. Total climbing is 740m/2440ft.

Please respect we ride in a group and the ride leader has to make decisions on behalf of the group, these need to be followed.
The ride leader will stop for catch-ups, at junctions and hills. Please do not overtake the leader this can lead to people getting lost.
Your bike needs to be recently ridden and in good order. You should bring a spare inner tube for your bike. This is to avoid holding up the rest of the group. There is likely to be someone on the ride who can help mend a puncture, although this is not guaranteed.
