What we’re about
This group is open to all women who live in or near the Bristow, Gainesville Virginia area who are looking to build new friendships and sincere community within our local neighborhoods. The purpose of this group is to provide opportunities for women to meet other women in person to build true friendships and find their "people" while getting out of the house whether if it's for a cup of coffee, a quick lunch or occasionally, fun evening event. Please only join if you’re truly willing to make an effort to attend in person events.
Here’s how this group will work. I'll throw out ideas occasionally for different meet-up opportunities but in order for this group to be successful, suggestion can be. made at any time. It could be a meetup a dinner/movie, meet for coffee, meet for lunch, go out to a play/musical, leisurely walks. Events do not need to be only in the Gainesville/Haymarket area. We can even have events/outings that include spouses/significant others too once in a while! Events can be planned for the future with lots of advance notice or can be spontaneous (for example. "who is free on Sunday to go to brunch?") If you have an idea, please let me know. See an event online that sounds fun? Share it and see if anyone else is interested.
I believe that if someone is looking to find friends they need to be intentional about putting themselves out there. I encourage everyone to make yourself a priority and carve out some time for YOU to attend social events to potentially meet your next best friend. Everyone is busy. Everyone has a lot going on. This group is for those women who really/truly want to make an effort to leave the house to meet new friends. This might involve stepping out of your comfort zone.
