What we’re about
The BrisVegan meetup is a social group for like-minded people to come together to share food, ideas, knowledge and create community.
You don't have to be vegan to join but please only order vegan food at meetups and bring vegan suitable dishes to pot lucks etc. We would love to introduce you to how great vegan food can be!
Disclaimer: Please note that all events are simply outings of interested people. We are not an official club or association, and therefore participants are asked to take personal responsibility at events.
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Vegan middle-level boardgames @ Loving Hut - 3rd Saturday each monthLoving Hut Brisbane, Mount Gravatt
We meet up on the 3rd Saturday each month for some delicious food and to play some medium+ difficulty boardgames in The Loving Hut, Mt Gravatt event space!
The games change, but examples of what we often play include Meadow, Wingspan, Sagrada, Catan, Carcassonne, Harmonies and Splendor. These are slightly more involved games than the ones we play at our other events. This means the games usually take 30-90 minutes each. We'll do our best to get you started as always.
If you want to bring your own games to play, we are very happy for you to join us. You can help others learn them by posting the game and a how-to-play video in the comments.
The Loving Hut are letting us use this space for free, so we want attendees to support them in return. The Loving Hut offers a wide range of food and snack options and is 100% vegan. Check out their menu and details.
Come anytime, you might just need to wait for a new game to start.
Disclaimer: This is not an official or professional group, just friendly people who turn up in the same place to play boardgames and eat vegan food.

- Action for Animals, Activism Meetup @ Vega CafeVega Cafe, Spring Hill
Want to make your voice heard for the animals? Then join us to take Action for Animals together!
We'll be meeting at the wonderful Vega in Spring Hill with our laptops/tablets/phones for some food/coffee/tea, etc, and to do some digital activism together – anything that creates a kinder world for animals, from fighting factory farming to protecting the planet we share.
What we do changes at each event, but our digital actions include signing petitions, writing to our political reps, making policy submissions, and any other forms of useful digital activism we come up with as a group.
We generally chat and enjoy a beverage for the first while and then get into the work after that.
Curious to see our previous actions (and catch up on any you missed)? Check out the spreadsheet here.
Note: These events are also posted at facebook.com/A4AForum/events. You can RSVP here and/or there, or in both places if you like :)
