Brisbane Vegan Meetup

Come along to our event on the second Friday of every month where you can eat, drink, chat and play games with like-minded people!

We provide games and will help you learn to play them - all you need to bring is yourself. If you have any games you want to share, feel free to bring them along as well.

We will be at Cafe Vega in Spring Hill. It's a lovely space with outdoor tables and lovely murals. This is a casual event, so turning up late, with an extra friend and changing your RSVP at the last minute are all fine. We often get a good turnout, so we look forward to seeing regular faces and new ones.

Our group philosophy relates to the concept of ubuntu. So check that idea out if you haven't before.

Want to make your voice heard for the animals? Join us at Vega Café in Spring Hill for a friendly get-together where we’ll take actions from around the movement to create a kinder world for animals and protect the planet we share. 🌏

Bring your laptop, tablet or phone, grab something from Vega’s lovely menu, and settle in for our first session of 2026 where we’ll chat, connect and take online actions together – things like signing petitions, writing to decision-makers, making policy submissions, or adding supportive comments and reviews.

A: Sorry, this one’s all about digital action – you’ll need a laptop, tablet or phone.

Q: Is there wifi at Vega?
A: Yes! There’s free wifi and plenty of plugs. We’ll get you set up :)

Q: Can I do the actions from home instead?
A: Absolutely. The Actions List is online so anyone can take part. We’d love it if you comment or post to let us know you’ve joined in.

A: Yes, co-working is great!

We meet up on the 3rd Saturday each month for some delicious food and to play some medium level boardgames in The Loving Hut, Mt Gravatt event space!

The games change, but examples of what we often play include Meadow, Wingspan, Sagrada, Catan, Carcassonne, Harmonies and Splendor. These are slightly more involved games than the ones we play at our other events. This means the games usually take 30-90 minutes each. We'll do our best to get you started as always.

If you want to bring your own games to play, we are very happy for you to join us. If you want, you can post any games and a how-to-play videos in the comments.

The Loving Hut are letting us use this space for free, so we want attendees to support them in return. The Loving Hut offers a wide range of food and snack options and is 100% vegan. Check out their menu and details.

This is a drop-in, so come and go anytime you like. We look forward to see regulars and new people.
