The Brits Abroad group is for British expats and their partners. It's a fun group of people and we typically get together to eat, drink and be merry about once a month.
Any and all suggestions for meetups are welcome. If you sign up for an event and then can't attend please change your RSVP to let us know.
All members are warmly encouraged to initiate and arrange their own meetup, whether at a pub/bar, a restaurant, a private residence or other venues. The organizers will always lend a helping hand to post it.
Annual Membership dues: $6.00 a year (January - December) per each registered Brits Abroad member. Please offer your membership fee to an organizer at your first Meetup.
** Fees are due at the first meet-up of the year OR the first one you attend each year **
If you would like to join us please say a bit about yourself and why you would like to join the group on your application.
We look forward to seeing you all at the next event.
We always have lots of fun partying but I have been thinking lately that it would be a nice gesture as a group to show our gratitude to our adopted homeland by volunteering for some community service.
I am completely open to suggestions as to what this might entail. Things I have thought of are helping fix an old lady's house, work on an environmental cleanup or even volunteer for the day at Feed my Starving Children. surely there are some among us who know what is needed and have the contacts to set it up.
So, what do you all think?
