The Toronto Brit Meetup Group Pages

A regular get-together of fellow Brits from the length and breadth of the UK, young and old.

The Toronto Expat Brit Meetup Group is a social meetup of individuals, ranging from Brits who are new to Toronto, life long residents, all the way through to the offspring of Brit parents. With attendance by a good mix of couples and singles from 20-70 years young somethings from all over the GTA.

If you are new in Toronto, the events are great places to get to know others who can tell you all you need to know about Toronto and the surrounding cities, especially with regards to adjusting to life here and discovering the Canadian equivalents of the things you knew back in the UK. If you have been here for a long time, you never know, you might discover something you never knew.

Please don't be shy, we were all new at one point or another and we all come to meet new friends anyway so, we will welcome you with open arms (or a handshake if you prefer). I went to my first MeetUp event on my own, and have made lots of friends since then and now I'm the organiser.

Our PUB QUIZZES are very popular and fun, and the prizes are definitely worth coming along for - you might win a Curly Wurly or a packet of Hobnobs.

So, if you fear you are losing your accent; want to go somewhere you won't be mistaken for being from the southern hemisphere; want to be understood when using real sarcasm; or just want to refresh your sense of humour, and retain some sanity, you have found the right group.

Events are arranged at regular intervals, and the locations change to a different Toronto pubs/ bars for a change in scenery.
