WE ARE BACK!

We took a year off last year from organising events and this year we are going to do things a little bit differently.

Our first quiz night of the year is next month on Saturday 11 May.

The quiz is a mixture of General Knowledge and specific categories and there is always a theme. Next month it is International Observances.

Things you should know;

1\. Please be at the Scotland Yard pub on The Esplanade by 7pm at the latest\. Yes we have a new venue\.

2\. Kick off is at 730 pm sharp\, so if you don't have a seat and a drink by then\, you might not be able to participate\. We aim to finish by 1030 pm\.

3\. Numbers are limited to 136 for our event space $legally by the pub for fire safety reasons$\, so the first 136 to RSVP and turn up on the night will have a shot at winning a prize\.

Your RSVP doesn’t guarantee you a seat - hence the reason to get there early as once we reach this number we will not be allowed to let anyone else into our event space.

4\. Teams are limited to a maximum of 6 people\. Fun and wacky team names are encouraged\.

5\. You are welcome to come on your own\, with a partner/ friend/ Mensa member\, and we will join you up with other people on the night\. More brain cells = prizes\.

7\. On the night;
I will be ably assisted by the Quiz crew who will allocate you to a team, collect your MeetUp dues, collect the papers and hand out prizes. Phil is our excellent Quizmaster. We will all be wearing name badges.

8\. Name labels;
You will be wearing a sticky name label - it's a MeetUp, so let's all meet someone new. However this event isn't a 'mix and mingle' type of event which we hold separately. We are all here for the questions and the chance of winning a Curly Wurly!

9\. Cost
$10. We will be round to rattle the tin when the quiz gets going.
