This group is dedicated to Brits, their partners and ex UK residents who enjoy and miss the Brit banter. We will be engaging in all types of social activities. All ages welcome.

Please join our facebook group 'British Expats in Melbourne' too which will have reminders of upcoming meet ups and help you connect more with fellow brits.

Group Rules:

1. Minimum member requirements is a first name and a clear profile picture.

2. If you RSVP to an event and cannot attend, please change your status within a reasonable timeframe to give people on the waitlist a chance to attend in your place.

3. Please make yourself known to the organiser at each meetup so we know you have attended. Three no shows will result in removal from the group.

Brit banter, drinks, pool and darts night
The Clarendon Hotel, 209 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne, AU
Come along for drinks, pool, darts and the best British Banter at the newly opened Hunter and Hound Pub in the old Clarendon Hotel.

I’ve reserved the whole pool table room and a couple of tables nearby if anyone wants to sit and eat during the night.

The #12 tram goes from from Southern Cross to right outside the venue or it’s walkable from the Crown.

Join fellow British expats for a classic curry night at Base Camp Curry House.

This is a chance to connect over good food, laughs, and of course, proper Ruby Murray. Whether you’re missing home comforts or just up for a fun night out, this is a great way to meet others and enjoy an authentic curry experience. We are sure this is the closest you'll get to after a night out at the pub back home.

What to expect:
• A night of Birmingham Balti — British-style Indian curries (smooth, spicy, vegan, vegetarian, etc. Gluten free options are available)
• Himalayan sides and chef specials
• Warm, casual atmosphere — family friendly, open kitchen

Cost: Bills will be separate, pay for what you order - food and drinks (it is fully licenced)

Getting There / Parking:

• Tram: Route 86 stops right near the restaurant (Northcote Town Hall stop) this can be jumped on from Parliament station
• Train: Northcote Station (Mernda Line) from Parliament is a short walk away.
• Parking: Street parking is available along High Street and surrounding side streets. Allow extra time to make sure you get a spot.

For those that want to kick on after the event: Low Key Bar, Northcote https://lowkeybar.com.au/ is a bar that is 2 minutes walk away
