Abstract:

My talk will show how Java developers and Java teams can benefit from adding Kotlin to their tool set in various ways, increasing the code quality and developer happiness. I will tell you about different ways to combine your Java code and skills with Kotlin. Besides considering the usage of Kotlin, the Java developers will learn why it's important to pay more attention to new versions of Java. If you already like Kotlin, but everyone around you prefers Java only, this talk will give you arguments to try to change their mind.
