Ride in Philadelphia

Greetings Everyone!

Once again, we will head out of town for a day trip, this time to Philadelphia, PA, to have lunch and view a number of the big and beautiful wall murals! You will be QUITE impressed with these murals. A month or so ago, I traveled up to Philadelphia to take a guided tour (and get a mural map) of about a dozen murals. I learned that there are thousands of these murals all over the city, which are produced through the Mural Arts Program. http://muralarts.org/explore/mural-mile Take a look at the link for more information.

We will take the 8:45 a.m. Megabus from D.C.'s Union Station, which will arrive in Philadelphia at about 12 noon. We'll find a place to have a quick bite and then take a look at many of the murals we come across. If there's time, we can hit a great Italian dessert place that I went to before. :) We will take the 6:20 p.m. Megabus back to D.C., arriving at 9:30 p.m.

If you're interested, please let me know, and then go to the Megabus.com website to purchase your bus ticket. I purchased mine today, and the roundtrip price was $25.50. The sooner you get your ticket, the better price you will get. If you prefer, you can drive up to Philly to meet us as we get off the bus, which is at the rear of the 30th Street Station. If you decide to join us on the Megabus, please make sure you have either a Brompton cover for your bike (Megabus requires the bikes be covered), or in a Hefty plastic bag or IKEA Impa bag (a $5 bag they sell, which can hold the Brompton nicely).
