Details

Anyone looking for inspiration and community for your wellness practice? Let's ride the Prospect Park Loop with a friendly group of Bromptons and enjoy free yoga in the beautiful Long Meadow.

Brompton Ride (6:30pm)
This is a chill ride. We'll do one loop around the park at moderate speed, ending at Prospect Park's Long Meadow for free yoga.

Free Yoga (7pm)
Prospect Park Alliance presents free, outdoor yoga on the Long Meadow in a low-pressure, beautiful environment with hundreds of New Yorkers.
You can read more and sign up for yoga on the Prospect Park Yoga official site.

Moonlight Picnic (8pm)
After yoga we'll set up a picnic in Long Meadow. Please bring a blanket, beverage, and snacks to share. Sunset is at 8:30 and there will be a beautiful half moon.

What to Bring

  • Picnic blanket, beverage, and snacks to share
  • Yoga mat (or towel)
  • The ride ends after dark. Please ensure you have a fully charged head lamp and rear lamp.

Important Notes

  • Please sign up in advance for free yoga via the Prospect Park Yoga official site. (You only need to do this once per summer.)
  • We depart on the ride at exactly 6:30pm - this is to ensure we're on time for yoga. If you're running late, you can meet us at Long Meadow.
  • Prospect Park restroom opening times are inconsistent - they will likely be closed. Please plan accordingly and use the bathroom before arrival.
  • Free yoga is provided by Prospect Park and anyone can sign up (i.e. no need to join this meetup unless you're joining the ride and picnic.)

Weather and Cancellation
We'll cancel the ride if the weather looks rainy, or the ground is wet from prior downpours. It's no fun to do yoga or picnics on wet grass! We'll announce any cancellations by noon the day of the ride.
