PleasanTON to Pleasant HILL - BART2BART up the Iron Horse Regional Trail
Details
Our first tri-valley ride! At 19.9 miles is a longer ride than usual (you may want to bring padded shorts even), but it is 99% on a dedicated bike path, the Iron Horse Regional Trail, and very flat. We will have 3 coffee/pastry/rest stops along the way. Best of all, we start at one BART station (Dublin/Pleasanton) and end at another BART (Pleasant Hill), so getting to and from the ride is a piece of cake. Join us for some carefree paved trail riding, excellent espressos, and a tour of the most pleasant-themed BART stations in the Bay!
We will gather at 10:45am and kick off at 11.

Route description: This route starts at Dublin/Pleasanton BART. NOT West Dublin/Pleasanton BART, NOT Pleasant Hill BART - these have confused even your host in the past. From there, we ride North up the car-free Iron Horse Regional Trail for a care-free 20 miles with plenty of breaks close to the path. Our first stop is Bishop Ranch Center in San Ramon--a plein-air shopping mall with a few different coffee and snack options including a gelato place that does affogatos. Five more miles North and we stop at Maison Benoit in Danville - a very French bakery with good espresso and fresh pastries. Next stop is Lever Coffee in Alamo for another coffee or a cold soft drink. Finally, we end at the Pleasant Hill BART station, where the ride officially ends, and you are welcome to join the hosts for a delicious pint and/or grub at Hops & Scotch nearby.
