September Beach Camping & Monthly (The Vacation!)

• What we are doing

Camping for three days, ON THE BEACH! We will have games and activities on the beach. Swimming in the ocean, Telescope and campfires at night. Movies and screening on the projectors after dark. Food, fun and friendship!

• What we are providing

Rental of the campsites, 4 person tents, dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. There will be s’mores and other fun campfire recipes!

We will have charcoal grilles for our cooking and coolers for our cold goods.

We will be posting the food that we’ll be providing shortly before the meetup but keep in mind if you have any allergies or personal food choices that are not represented by our list we ask you to take care of those needs on your own. Please leave a comment to let us know and we’ll try to help out if we’re able to.

• About the campsite

Each campsite has electricity and running water. Smith Point has modern restrooms and showers located throughout the campground. Each campsite for four people has a fire ring and a picnic table. We will be renting four person campsites and you will be staying with up to four people in the same tent.

• Travel details and carpooling options

There will be carpools that we will be running to the Shirley LIRR station for both the camping meetup and the Monthly. Please chat on our discord server to set up carpools or other group travel arrangements

• Details about timing

We will be arriving to set up at 12 noon on Friday. Check out is 12 noon on Sunday

• How you can help

• Cost

For $20 we will be covering the rental of the campsite, providing tents, and meals throughout the weekend. The Monthly on Saturday is a separate $20. If you come to the camping, you must also attend the monthly. The total cost for the trip is $40.

• In case of inclement weather

As this is an outdoor camping meetup we are subject to the weather and will not have a good idea of what it will be until about a week out. We’ll be keeping in contact to let everyone know what the plans are. Rain doesn’t necessarily mean that the meetup will be cancelled, our tents are waterproof after all. We’ll be updating the meetup as time goes on and if you have any questions about it at any point feel free to ask questions or leave a comment.
