May Meeting - Startup Weekend Education

Hello everyone,

We are looking forward to our next Bronx Education Meetup. One of the things we are excited to talk about is the Startup Weekend EDU (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/startup-weekend-edu-nyc-2017-tickets-32667397064) event we are helping to organize. The event will take place from June 9 to June 11 at Hostos Community College. We are bringing together passionate educators, entrepreneurs, developers and designers to help create and produce viable products and services that solve some of education’s most pressing problems. If you guys want to get involved or learn more about the event, we are happy to talk about it with you at the meeting.

In addition, we still want to continue the dialogue from our last meetup. We started to address some of the issues that our organizations and individuals are facing with education in the Bronx. Now, we would like to start moving towards actionable goals that we can work towards and accomplish.

As always, you guys are welcome to bring up any topics of discussion. This is your group and we value your input. If you have a project or event that might interest BEM, please let me know and I will forward it along.
