Volunteering opportunity for Mobile Food Pantry!

URGENT: Volunteers Needed for First Ever Community Food Distribution | Bronx NY

Hey Meetup community,

Tomorrow May 1st is a big day for us. HopeNearMe is holding our very first community food distribution at Bronx River Houses in the Bronx, 100 families are counting on us to show up with free groceries.

And we almost have to do it alone.

Every single one of our volunteers backed out last minute. Including family. We’re not canceling, we’re not that kind of organization, but we need people who actually mean it when they say they want to make a difference.

This is not a maybe. 100 real families in the Bronx are showing up tomorrow expecting food. We need hands on deck.

What we’re doing:

Distributing fresh groceries, rice, chicken, fruit, eggs, beans, bread and more, to 100 families in one of the Bronx’s most underserved communities.

What we need from you:

Just show up. No experience required. Good energy and a heart to serve is all it takes.
