What we’re about

The Bronx, a borough of New York City, corresponds exactly with Bronx County in the state of New York. Situated to the south of Westchester County, it lies north and east of Manhattan, separated by the Harlem River, and north of Queens, across the East River. Spanning 42 square miles, it had a population of 1,472,654 according to the 2020 census. If each borough were treated as a city, the Bronx would rank as the ninth-most populous in the U.S. Among the five boroughs, it ranks fourth in area, fourth in population, and third in population density. Unlike the other boroughs, it is not predominantly situated on an island. The Bronx boasts diverse communities such as Little Yemen, Little Italy, and significant Latino, West African, Albanian, American, and West Indian populations. Additionally, it offers more park space than any other borough in the New York City tristate area. Notable landmarks include the New York Botanical Garden, the Yankees Stadium, Van Cortlandt Park, Pelham Gardens, and the Bronx Zoo.
