Brainsnacks Vol. 1: Let's Get Curious
Details
Welcome to the very first Brooklyn Curiosity Collective event!
If you've ever fallen down a Wikipedia rabbit hole at 2 AM, gotten weirdly passionate explaining something niche to friends, or just love learning random fascinating things, we are your people.
What is this? What to expect for Vol. 1:
Since this is our inaugural event and we're all getting to know each other, we'll keep it casual and conversational. I (Alyse) will kick things off with a poll-based icebreaker, and I will give a short presentation as an example. One or two others will be welcome to present as well, then we'll have open discussion where anyone can share interesting topics, questions, or ideas that have been on their mind lately. No formal presentation required! Think of it as a "show and tell" warm-up session.
Future events will have more structured presentations as our community grows and people get comfortable with the format.
Important: This is a space for learning and intellectual curiosity only - no business pitches, solicitations, or promotional content of any kind. Anyone using the platform to promote services or products will be removed from the group.
This first event:
- Virtual (Zoom link will be available upon RSVP)
- No pressure to present - 2-3 presentations total
- Thursday, February 19 at 7:30 PM ET
- About 60 minutes total
- Topics TBA (want to present at a future event? Message me!)
Come curious. No pressure. Just good conversation and new perspectives. Future events will be in-person at Brooklyn spots, but we're starting online to bring the community together.
See you there!
