🎬 Movie Night: Lesbian Lines + Optional Coffee & Conversation 🌈
Saturday, November 14, 2026 | 6:15P
Location: Village East by Angelika
181–189 Second Avenue, Manhattan
Join Brooklyn Lesbian Introverts for a screening of Lesbian Lines, a documentary featured at the DOC NYC Film Festival.
Directed by Cara Holmes, Lesbian Lines tells the remarkable story of underground lesbian telephone helplines established in Ireland during a time when living openly could mean rejection, discrimination, and isolation.
Through archival materials and firsthand accounts, the film explores how women created spaces for connection, understanding, and support when they needed them most.
It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of community, belonging, and simply having someone who listens.
☕ Optional Post-Movie Coffee & Conversation
After the screening and director Q&A, anyone interested is welcome to join us at Tipsy Village Café, 201 Allen Street, for a relaxed conversation about the film and an opportunity to get to know one another.
The café offers a spacious, comfortable atmosphere with coffee, tea, matcha, and light bites.
There’s absolutely no pressure to join us afterward. You’re welcome to come just for the movie!
