See all- Mindful Hike at Owl's Head Park, Brooklyn, NYOwl's Head Park, Brooklyn, NY
Join me for a hike through Owl's Head Park, a lovely little park in south Brooklyn with views of the Narrows and New York Harbor, a grove of beech, conifer trees, and a patio beside a wooded area at the highest point.
We'll enter the park and walk for 30 minutes pausing for a 5 minute guided mediation followed by a 20 minute nature journaling session where we'll write, sketch, trace, doodle, OR notate our impressions. Then we'll hike back out.
I recommend layers, sunscreen/hats, socks (we will walk off path on some grassy areas), and comfortable walking shoes. Call or text me with any questions (917) 689-4651
*Restrooms near park entrance
*No water fountains, BYOWMEET UP LOCATION: We'll meet at 2:00 pm at the R station stop Bay Ridge Avenue Station at 4th Ave & Bay Ridge Ave in front of the Rite Aid. From there we'll walk 4 blocks to the Park Entrance. If you're driving feel free to meet us at the Owl's Head Park Entrance at Colonial Road & 68th Street around 2:15.
Mindful Nature Journaling Hikes engage participants with nature threefold; the hike immerses us in natural surroundings, the meditation quiets the nervous system, and the journaling provides the means to closely observe and thereby connect more deeply with nature.
