Joseph McMahon: SpriteKit as an Intro to SceneKit and Metal
Apple's upcoming iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 include some hot new features and frameworks that utilize the native GPU. Joe is going to talk about why you should first get your hands dirty with SpriteKit, and then SceneKit, before taking on Metal.

Bio: Joe is the founder of Orbert (http://www.orbert.io/) - releasing for iOS 9 in December. He is a 3D graphics and robotics programmer who first picked up Swift when Apple announced it at WWDC 2014.

Salvatore Randazzo: Creating an Indie iOS Game (in Swift) Without Quitting your Day Job
"You can’t fake fun." Learn about the success of the indie iOS game Specimen (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/specimen-a-game-about-color/id999930535?mt=8), the many failed attempts it took to "get it right", and how Swift transformed the development process mid-way through. See functional-programming concepts applied to game development, and learn how to speed up your development process by writing your own DSLs.

Bio: Sal (https://twitter.com/SalNY) is the lead iOS developer at Paperless Post (https://www.paperlesspost.com). During his nights and weekends, he doubles as the lead developer on Specimen, which was released this past July on the App Store.
