Kanakapila with Kimo Hussey and Zanuck!

Aloha all!
we are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow afternoon at Jalopy for our Brooklyn Ukes jam at 4pm. FYI, the jam will be at the Tavern next door.
Liz and I will be at the theatre to direct folks around 3:30 to also bring in some music stands if need be, etc. but if you have your own stand, please bring it! Also, on MONDAY, MARCH 20th, we are having a very special event with the legendary Kimo Hussey and Zanuck Lindsey from Hawaii who will be finishing off a few days in NY working with kids and veterans and promoting a new music therapy initiative featuring the ukulele that is being supported in large part by none other than their dear friend Jake Shimabukuro who has stepped in to help and provide support of this very worthwhile initiative!
Jalopy has kindly given us the use of the theatre to have a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KanikapilaKanakapila (sing along/strum along like we do!) as a way to gather with these two wonderful players and just share in some group singing together and for them to get to know the ukulele community here! We hope to have at least 30 people show up for this to meet these special musicians and give them a warm Brooklyn welcome! Please come and bring friends and extra ukes if you have them!
