What we’re about

Are you working on a novel, or a collection of short stories? Don't let that blank page mock you any further. Share your experiences with others facing the same challenge.

Thanks to blogs and websites like Medium.com, becoming a published writer is easy these days. Yet writing is still hard work. You may feel a bit lonely tapping away on a Macbook Air in a corner table at La Colombe -- whether you are in pursuit of the bestseller list, or a first splash of literary renown.

Well, you are NOT alone. Let's prove it by getting together.

We are looking for writers with some experience. (No dilettantes, please.) You can be a young writer trying to craft your first short stories; a weekend writer revisiting your painful dating years; a mid-career journalist looking for a new avenue of expression; or an experienced writer who is trying to stay focused and inspired. Screenwriters are welcome, too.

We will get inspiration from each other, share stories about our work, and help to inspire and motivate each other as we pursue our goal of completing that book we've always dreamed of writing. A fruitful collaboration may even be born.

Join us and let's make our writing dreams a reality!

Note: You don't have to be in New York to join. Most events only require a Zoom account. But some future events may take place in person in a NYC cafe.
