Join us for an exciting, freeform, no-host photography adventure at the Harlem River Photo Walk. Well, although there is no host from our meetup group, the event is being hosted by NYC H20.
This special event is perfect for members of Practice Photography: Skill Sharing Workshops, Brooklyn Photo Explorers, and NYSP+ (New York Street Photography Plus) to capture the unique beauty and history of the Harlem River waterfront. Led by renowned photographers Duane Bailey-Castro and Nathan Kensinger, this walk promises inspiration and learning for photographers of all skill levels.

- Location: West Tremont Avenue, The Bronx, NY 10453 (Starting at Roberto Clemente State Park)
- Cost: Free, but you should RSVP on eventbrite

## About the Photo Walk
This guided photo walk explores the stunning Harlem River waterfront in the Bronx, led by photographers Duane Bailey-Castro and Nathan Kensinger, who have documented the river’s evolving landscape for 15 and 20 years, respectively. The walk will:
- Start at Roberto Clemente State Park and travel beneath historic bridges, ending at the beautifully restored High Bridge.
- Offer participants the chance to photograph unique spots along the Bronx waterfront, with guidance from Duane and Nathan on framing and composition.
- You can use your camera, smartphone, or try a Polaroid camera provided by the walk leaders.
- Share stories and photos from the leaders’ extensive work documenting the Harlem River’s coastline.
This is a family-friendly event open to all ages and skill levels, whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just starting.

## Notes for Attendees
- Bring your preferred camera (DSLR, smartphone, etc.), or try a Polaroid provided by the leaders.
- Dress comfortably for a 2-hour outdoor walk and consider bringing water and sunscreen.
- Be respectful when photographing, especially in public spaces or when capturing individuals.
- The walk is in-person and will proceed rain or shine, so check the weather and plan accordingly.

- NYC H2O: A nonprofit dedicated to educating communities about New York City’s waterways and fostering environmental stewardship.
- Duane Bailey-Castro: A Bronx-based photographer with 15 years of experience capturing the Harlem River’s bridges and landscapes.
- Nathan Kensinger: A Brooklyn-based artist documenting NYC’s waterfront for 20 years, with work featured in major exhibitions.
