Details

  • Bring/send $4-$6 by 8am Saturday for the permit ($2-$4 if you are sub). NO REFUNDS.
  • Turf shoes or flats ONLY. If you come with cleats, you will NOT play.
  • Arrive by 9:30am. Game starts at 9:45.
  • Pinnies will be given out between 9:35 & 9:40am. If you arrive after pinnies have been handed out, you will lose your spot.
  • Game ends AFTER 12:15pm.
  • If you cannot make it to the game, please change your status to ‘NOT GOING’ by Friday 11:00pm (7am Saturday the latest). This will give waitlist players ample notification time to see that they’re in the game.
  • If you’re on the waitlist, check the RSVP list until 7:01am Saturday in case you get in. If you can’t make it, PLEASE change your waitlist status to ‘NOT GOING’ by Friday 11:59pm (7am Saturday the latest).
  • If you pull a no-show, or change your RSVP to ‘NO’ after 7am Saturday, or leave the game before it ends, you will be suspended for 1 month OR 2 games (you must be on the RSVP list on Wednesday for 2 games to serve the suspension).
  • Suspension for inclement weather is 6 weeks OR 3 games.
  • If you’re new to this group, make sure to confirm your attendance by replying to the messages sent by the organizers (see your meetup msgs).

Please send $4-$6 before 8am Saturday.

For those that pay BEFORE 8am Saturday:
if you come late & a waitlist player has taken your spot, you will be able to get your spot back 30min after kickoff.

For those that pay AFTER 8am Saturday:
if you come late & a waitlist player has taken your spot, you have lost your spot & the $ you sent can be used for your next game. NO REFUNDS!

I urge that everyone arrive on time. If you arrive later than 9:30am, whoever is there before you will take your spot. No exceptions. Even if they are not on the list and you are marked as attending. If you are not there when the pinnies are being handed out, you risk the chance of losing your spot to whoever is there before you.
I hope you understand this policy is intended to get us started on time and not waiting around for people.

I, undersigned, acknowledge that I am participating in this pickup soccer game hosted by the meetup group ‘Brooklyn Pickup Soccer’ voluntarily, purely for recreation and enjoyment. I will in no way hold this group responsible for any illness or injury sustained as a result of this game. I attest that to the best of my knowledge I am in good physical health, free from symptoms of Covid-19 or any other illness.

I also am freely giving my contact information and will promptly reach out to the organizers of this game if I test positive for Covid-19 or start showing any symptoms of Covid-19 in the week following the game. This is to protect all the members of our soccer community, our families and co-workers. In the event of a positive diagnosis, I allow this information to be shared with contact tracers in NYC to help contain and slow the spread of Covid-19.
