Welcome to Broomfield Mutual Aid!
What is Mutual Aid? It is Solidarity, not Charity. Mutual Aid networks can serve many different roles in communities. Ultimately, it is about community-led support that can feed, clothe, and protect our neighbors.
Why Mutual Aid? Mutual Aid groups are (ideally) disintegrated from the capitalistic non-profit system and are not bogged down by bureaucracy. Because Mutual Aid focuses on direct action, support comes from other humans in your community and bolsters collectivism and connection.
What this group aims to accomplish, is to recruit community members that wish to serve and support their neighbors and to spread the message of community solidarity. Ideally, folx would also be able to follow and share events held by Broomfield Mutual Aid.
