I typically do not host online meetups but the topic & use of artificial intelligence surrounds us every day.

Join us for a fun, jargon-free workshop designed specifically for inquisitive adults who want to stay relevant and sharp. If you have been curious about Artificial Intelligence (AI) but felt it was too technical or not for you, this session may change your mind.

We are cutting through the hype to focus on what matters: how to use technology to make your life easier, more connected, and more fun.

What We Will Cover
Part 1: The "Non-Techie" Introduction (Hosted by Kevin) I will kick things off by addressing the big questions and fears our generation has about AI. We will strip away the scary headlines and look at AI for what it really is: a helpful assistant you probably already know how to use.

  • Myth-Busting: Why you aren't going to be left behind.
  • Real Life Examples: How I use AI right now to handle difficult emails, plan travel itineraries, and manage my business.
  • Free Resource: I will be sharing a special guide, "The Non-Techie Guide to AI," featuring 10 simple ways you can save time starting today.

Part 2: Everyday AI Made Simple (Guest Expert: Karma Hunter) We are thrilled to welcome Karma Hunter, a marketing strategist and startup mentor with over 20 years of experience helping businesses grow. Karma leads AI initiatives at UNLV’s Office of Economic Development and advises entrepreneurs through the Nevada SBDC.

Karma specializes in making technology approachable. She will walk us through:

  • The Toolkit: What AI can actually do for your everyday life.
  • The Real Cost: Which tools are worth trying and what they really cost.
  • Safe & Simple: How to put AI to work in your hobbies, projects, business ideas, or day-to-day tasks.
  • Zero Jargon: We will walk through simple examples you can follow on your own with zero technical jargon.

This session is perfect for anyone who is curious about AI but doesn't consider themselves "techie". You will learn step-by-step, ask questions, and walk away feeling confident.

What to Bring

  • Curiosity: Bring an open mind—no prior technical skills required.
  • Questions: We have set aside time specifically to answer your questions.
  • A Notebook: You will want to write down the names of the tools we share!
