Native Habitat / Native Mini Garden Demonstration and Discussion
Learn about native gardening with hands-on sample mini starter garden example and landscape options. Ask questions and get advice from our very own BSG member and Broward Master Gardener, Catalina!

Catalina Franco-Cicero is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Tax Specialist who fell in love with nature as a child in her home country of Colombia. She grew up eating fresh fruits and vegetables, enjoying colorful orchids, and watching wildlife. When the opportunity presented itself for her to enroll in the Master Gardener Volunteer program through the University of Florida's IFAS Extension in 2025, she jumped at the chance to rekindle those memories and create a small wildlife oasis in her backyard. Since then, she has started two garden clubs, sits in her HOA's Landscape Committee, is a volunteer member of the Veggie Team at the UF/IFAS campus and earned mentored hours at Flamingo Gardens in the Horticulture Department.

If coming in person, we're meeting at:
Veterans Park, 7600 NW 50th St, Lauderhill, FL 33351, USA
