For May's meetup we're having a mashup of a meetup with the wonderful Birmingham Open Code

We'll be playing Code Golf in teams, for those who want to, and the usual Open Code hacking on whatever you want for those who don't fancy golf.

Code Golf is a team game where you try to write code to solve simple problems in the shortest way possible (fewest characters). Every semi-colon, every brace, every line break or indent costs you...

Code is submitted to a code golf server, tested and scored automatically against the challenge. It's a great fun way to learn shortcuts and syntax hints and tips.

We'll be in the gallery section of BOMlab (enter through the main door and come through) for a playful evening of writing the shortest (not necessarily the best) javascript! Bring a laptop. All skill levels welcome, from true beginners to experts.
