Patterns in the Noise: Clustering Methods for Applied Research
Details
Venue : G.22
Time : 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Description:
This workshop provides an overview of modern data clustering methods—including:
- k-means,
- hierarchical clustering,
- DBSCAN,
and other model-based approaches—and demonstrate their applications in Management, Finance, and Economics research. Emphasis is placed on uncovering latent structures, segmenting heterogeneous populations, and detecting patterns in high-dimensional datasets.
Participants will gain both conceptual understanding and practical guidance for integrating clustering techniques into empirical research across these fields.
