Brugge to Gent

• 55km expanded route from Brugge to Gent. The most direct option stays along the canal (46km) but this version combines with the Art Cities Route.
• Estimated moving time 3h10 not including lunch and some brief stops. All flat.
• Lunch at the halfway point in Hooggoedbos. Bring your own.
• Meet at Starbucks inside Brugge station.

Trains
Get a return ticket to Brugge with half-price travel at weekends then train back to Brussels from Gent. You could also drive to Brugge with your bike and train from Gent back to Brugge.

Most trains to Brugge continue to the coast so they'll be busy with tourists to Brugge and others going to the sea. It's best to take an earlier train if you can and hang out till we leave at 11:00.

Remember you can't board a train with a bicycle at Gare Centrale, but Midi and Nord are fine.
