Debate Night: Gender struggles

Does being a man or a woman really make any difference anymore? Do the old sayings such as "Big boys don't cry," "Put on your big boy pants," "She wears the pants," or "It takes balls" still apply? And if so, should they?

Culturally, biologically, and economically, there should be no better time than the present to achieve gender equality in every aspect of our lives. We're making progress, but there's still a long way to go... And also, does this progress have a downside?
